DEAL/WRONG DEAL/REDEAL

  1. NUMBER OF PACKS
Three packs of 52 cards each will be used irrespective of number of players.
  2. RIGHT TO SHUFFLE
Any player may shuffle the cards. Cards must be shuffled at least twice. The dealer has the right to the last shuffle. The dealer may request any other player for the deal after last shuffle has been made.
  3. CUT BEFORE THE DEAL
This has to be done by the player on the right of the dealer. If the concerned player is not present than the player next to him on the right may cut. Mere touching the top is not enough, there should be at least seven cards below and above the cut. A deal is deemed to have begun once the cut has been made.
  4. ORDER OF DEALING AND DRAWINGS OF JOKER
Player cutting the lowest card will deal the first hand and thereafter the deals are anti clockwise. The player on the immediate left of the dealer will draw the 'Joker' only after the dealer has completed the deal, taken out the open card and shuffled the balance of the pack.
  5. CHANGE OF JOKER
'Joker' once drawn, if in order, will not be changed under any circumstances not even with the full consent of all other players. Any infringement of this rule will draw disciplinary action under Para 8 of the introduction.
  6. PICKING OF CARDS
Players are permitted to pick up cards during the deal, except, the player who has to draw the 'Joker'. A player must leave at least two cards on the table during the deal to facilitate easy deal and avoid mixing of cards with other cards.
  7. WRONG NUMBER OF CARDS DEALT
If the joker has been taken out and it is discovered by a player before entering the game that one has more or less cards then the deal will be cancelled and the cards will be dealt afresh. If, however, a player has entered the game and then realizes that the number of cards held are one more or less then the players can either mid pack or continue to play the game but cannot declare. The player cannot claim re-deal but can claim value of honor cards held. If twenty cards have been dealt and the joker taken out (provided no player has exposed two or more side value cards or have pre-maturely exposed two or more cards) than the dealer will give the open card to the next player and complete the deal, shuffle the balance of the pack and hand it over to the player on the left to take out the joker. Otherwise there will be a re-deal.
  8. DEALT CARDS LEFT ON TABLE
In order to claim value some players take out the honor cards & keep them aside in the table. These can be picked up by the player at any time during the course of play but positively before his /her next pick failing which he/she will put them with the discarded cards consequently the player will have to either mid pack or continue to keep playing with lessor number of cards but cant not declare
  9. INCOMPLETE PACK FOR DEAL
It is obligatory for all players to keep all cards on the cards table. In case, it is found that the dealer has erroneously dealt with the pack which has three or more cards left out, the deal will be cancelled and re-dealt afresh. If, however, the hand is declared and then it is found that more then three cards are missing from the pack the game will be considered as completed and the fresh game will be dealt with the full pack.
